TownHall's Clean Ingredient Standards: Organic, Non-GMO & Seed-Oil-Free

At TownHall, "clean" isn't a marketing word — it's a sourcing standard we hold on every plate, at both our Cleveland (Ohio City) and Columbus (Short North) locations. Here is exactly what goes into, and what stays out of, the food and drinks we serve.

100% Non-GMO

We choose non-GMO ingredients across the menu — from produce to proteins to pantry staples. It's the baseline that every other standard here builds on.

Organic produce & ingredients

We prioritize organic produce and organic ingredients wherever we can source them, so the vegetables, herbs, and staples on your plate are grown without synthetic pesticides and herbicides.

No industrial seed oils — ever

TownHall is a seed-oil-free kitchen. We never cook with industrial seed oils like canola, soybean, corn, sunflower, safflower, or generic "vegetable" oil. Instead, every dish is cooked in grass-fed & grass-finished beef tallow, extra-virgin olive oil, and avocado oil.

Zero refined sugar

We build our menu without refined sugar. When a dish or drink calls for sweetness, we reach for whole-food, non-refined alternatives instead of white sugar and high-fructose corn syrup.

Better-sourced proteins

• Grass-fed & grass-finished beef, raised on pasture rather than feedlots.

• Pasture-raised poultry.

• Wild-caught seafood, chosen with lower-mercury varieties in mind.

• Grass-fed butter whenever butter is used.

Lab-tested coffee

The coffee we serve is lab-tested, so your cup meets the same sourcing standard as the food it sits next to.
