For more than a decade, TownHall’s Feed The Need has stood as one of Cleveland’s most impactful community initiatives—bringing together local leaders, professional athletes, volunteers, and neighbors to serve those who need it most.
A Cleveland Tradition Rooted in Giving Back
Feed The Need was founded in 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio by Bobby George, CEO of Ethos Capital Partners, Ethos Hospitality Group, and Founder of TownHall restaurants. Guided by the belief that “to whom much is given, much is expected,” Bobby created Feed The Need to unite his passion for service with the deep relationships he’s built through business, hospitality, and community leadership.
Since its launch, Feed The Need has provided more than 50,000 free turkey dinners to Cleveland & Columbus residents in need—making it one of the region’s most meaningful holiday outreach efforts.
What sets Feed The Need apart is its focus on serving with dignity. Every meal is prepared and delivered with care, respect, and love—ensuring every guest feels seen, welcomed, and valued.
Serving Side-by-Side With Community Leaders and Pro Athletes
Each year, Feed The Need brings together a powerful group of volunteers who roll up their sleeves to serve meals directly to the community. This year, Joe Haden, along with a group of professional athletes and community leaders, once again served free turkey meals to Cleveland residents in need.
Over the years, the event has welcomed an incredible lineup of past participants, including:
Jim Brown
Bernie Kosar
Joe Thomas
Baker Mayfield
Dwyane Wade
Stipe Miocic
Their presence sends a powerful message: community service is for everyone, and leadership is best shown through action.
More Than Meals: Providing Warmth and Essential Support
Feed The Need goes beyond food. Leading up to the event, TownHall collects gently used outerwear, including:
Coats and jackets
Hats and mittens
Sweaters and winter layers
These items are made available on-site for anyone who needs them, helping ensure our neighbors stay warm during Cleveland’s coldest months. This clothing drive has become a vital extension of the mission.
Feed The Breed: Caring for Every Member of Our Community
Compassion doesn’t stop with people. Each year, Feed The Need also includes Feed The Breed, an initiative where TownHall staff personally deliver meals to various pet shelters. In 2025, over 600 dogs have been fed through Feed The Breed, ensuring that animals in shelters receive nourishment during the holiday season as well.
Impact by the Numbers
The reach of TownHall Feed The Need continues to grow each year:
Over 50,000 free turkey dinners served since inception
More than 2,000 meals served at the most recent 2025 Feed The Need event
600+ dogs fed through 2025 Feed The Breed
Hundreds of donated winter clothing distributed
But the true impact goes far beyond statistics—it lives in the faces of families, individuals, and volunteers who come together with a shared purpose.
Partnership With St. Augustine Hunger Center
At the heart of Feed The Need is a deep partnership with one of Cleveland’s most vital organizations: the
St. Augustine Hunger Center. Every single day of the year, St. Augustine opens its doors to anyone who is hungry—serving three meals a day with dignity and compassion. Their work continues long after the Feed The Need event ends, supporting Clevelanders year-round.
Every dollar donated to St. Augustine goes directly to their mission—and TownHall proudly matches each donation dollar for dollar, doubling the impact and helping keep both hearts and plates full.
From One Day to a Year-Round Movement
What began as a single day dedicated to feeding those in need has grown into something far more impactful: a movement focused on raising awareness for partner charities and the people behind them.
Each Feed The Need event shines a spotlight on organizations whose work continues every day of the year—encouraging ongoing donations, volunteerism, and community support long after the last meal is served.
